One Million Coins Review
For $2.49 you get a two-hour Windows game about hauling a million coins. On 22 October 2026 Steam called it Very Positive: 446 of 480 reviews were positive (92.9%). It is a bad buy if you want a story, a second platform, or a long idle game.
I did not buy a copy and finish a vault, so this is not a scored review from my own clear. I watched the store trailer stills, read the English review sample, and checked the price against six other Steam games people might open instead. The “worth it” line below is that comparison, dated, not a star rating I invented.
What the first-week reviews repeat
The English sample talks about a satisfying grab, a short first clear (quotes of 90 minutes, 1:44, and 2:07), and a skill tree that keeps the second half moving. A few players finished every achievement inside a long evening. Others needed 6 hours. The store’s own “about 2 hours” sits in the middle of the first-clear quotes, not of the completionists.
Who should skip it
The same sample, and the store fields, draw a clear edge.
- You need the game in Spanish, Russian, or any language besides English. The store lists English only.
- You are on a phone, a Mac, or a console. Windows is the only platform flag.
- You want a story campaign or combat. The description is scoop, bank, upgrade.
- You want a weeks-long idle game. Melvor Idle and NGU IDLE are the long menu games. This one ends when the vault is empty.
- A few reviews say a purchase felt permanent. 1.1 stopped paths from locking each other. It did not announce a respec.
The price next to neighbors
On 22 October 2026 the US price was $2.49. The press kit still said $2.99 pre-release. Nearby Steam games in the same “pick things up and upgrade” search were much higher: Hydroneer $14.99, Gold Mining Simulator $19.99, PowerWash Simulator $24.99. You are paying for a short, focused loop, not for a simulator with a job list.
