One Million Coins Speedrun
One Million Coins has separate Steam speedrun leaderboards for different skill versions. Update 1.2 added a dedicated board while preserving legacy boards. No current world record has been verified by this site; video titles are not record certification.
The full official patch notes were checked on 22 October 2026. A same-day speedrun.com name query returned no matches, which is narrower than proving no entry or category exists anywhere. No in-game leaderboard was inspected and no run was timed here.

Which board you are looking at
Update 1.1 on 16 October 2026 kept the old board open because chute changes would make some 1.0 times unbeatable, and mentioned players chasing a sub-10-minute mark. Update 1.1.1 on 17 October added a Top Hoarders board for total coins banked, rounded, with a stated hard limit of 2.147 trillion. On 19 October the main menu started showing personal bests, with leaderboards behind a tab. The same day, 1.2 said stricter checks were in and that a clean board still could not be promised.
| Board | What it measures | Status on 22 Oct 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Fastest run, older rules | Times from before the chute rework | Left open for a while, per the 1.1 post |
| Fastest run, v1.1 | Runs under the 1.1 skill rules | Legacy board retained by 1.2 |
| Fastest run, v1.2 | Runs for the dedicated v1.2 board | Added 19 October with stronger completion checks |
| Top Hoarders | Lifetime coins banked, top 1,000, rounded | Added in 1.1.1 |
Numbers you will see in videos
Quote them as titles. Do not promote them to an official record.
- BigButters: 11:03, self-described as a former 1.1 number one.
- Sifd: a 30-minute clear, uploaded 16 October 2026.
- Idle Gamer: “44th fastest,” uploaded 19 October 2026.
- S3: NG+ 19.364 seconds, uploaded 20 October 2026. That is a new-game-plus claim, not a first-run Time Is Money.
Rules that are actually written down
The official posts establish separate version boards, rounded hoarder scores, and stronger completion checks. The 1.1.1 Unstuck option adds 60 seconds each time it is used. The 1.2 notes say existing saves retain their skill version, so record your save rules as well as the installed version when comparing times. A standardized external any-percent ruleset or ban list was not verified here.
Questions
What is the world record?
A current, validated world record is not established by the sources reviewed. Check the relevant in-game version board and its rules; a past player claim or an empty external search is not proof of the current record.
